Galloway Political Rednecks

‘Callaway in Galloway’ Secret Republican Strategy Email and Memo Leaked to Media

The best way to run an effective campaign is to keep your secret strategy emails and memos a secret.

The Galloway Republicans ran out of luck last week when a tactical memo outlining a racist smear campaign was leaked to the media.

The memo outlines how to smear a Democratic council member by claiming that Atlantic City President Craig Callaway is planning a voter registration drive in town.

That claim is false.

On the same day the memo was leaked, a race-baiting flyer was sent to Galloway Republicans and falsely stated that Callaway has already delivered “several dozen voter registration applications” from Galloway Township to county government.

A check of county voting records show no voter registrations from Galloway have been delivered to the Board of Elections that were signed by Craig Callaway or any of his well-known campaign workers.

Galloway Democratic Club President Dave Evans has emphatically denied that Craig Callaway or his campaign workers have any hand in the party. He also stated that all campaign operations will be conducted by Galloway Township residents.

The flyer and memo target Council Woman Meg Worthington and claim she is working with Callaway.

A source in the Galloway Republican League said the strategy was designed to “fire up the redneck members” of the party.

The memo also issues a call to arms for Republicans to gather at a special meeting at the Smithville Inn to “discuss the Callaway-Worthington campaign to manipulate Galloway’s election.”

The memo is designed to inject race-baiting and division into the campaign, according to two Republican party members who said they hoped the candidates would stick to the “important issues” in Galloway.

One Republican member said that Worthington was targeted because a poll showed she was “way out in front” of the other candidates.
