Shoot Out at Galloway Wawa Parking Lot By VIRGINIA McCABE Nine shots fired from a .45 caliber handgun cut through the night's silence at the Wawa parking lot on Route 30 and 5th Avenue in Galloway Township. Two attendent's booths were hit, two bullets tore through a car stopped for gas. A group of men who had been fighting in the store, took it outside. Galloway Police responded to the 12:43 a.m. shooting. They learned several black males in their 20s had been in the store, according to Detective Sgt. Paul Dooner, spokesman for the department. After exiting the store, the shots were fired. There were no physical injuries due to the shooting, however several patrons were in the area of the altercation. Dooner said the target of the shooter is unknown at this time, the men fled the scene before police from Galloway, Stockton and Absecon arrived.. As Police were arriving at the WaWa, a fight was observed at Gensollen's
Night Club, next door, at the same time. Officers responded to both locations
simultaneously.
